Gran Canaria, One of europes few year round scuba diving destinations
Here in Gran Canaria we are extremely lucky to be able to scuba dive all year round. No matter what time of year it is, we have some fantastic scuba diving waiting for you.
At Puerto Rico Diving we offer daily guided dives for all certified divers. Because “we make the difference” we always keep our dive groups small and of similar experience levels. Our instructors will choose dive sites based on the days weather conditions and our divers requests. If there is a dive site you would really like to visit, let us know and we will try our best to get you there!
Our guided dive trips consist of 2 dives, with a snack provided by us for the surface interval. Your experienced guide will be on hand during your guided dive to make your dive as relaxed and fun as possible. Our divers safety and enjoyment is of huge importance to us at Puerto Rico Diving so we will always plan our dives with this in mind.
Here are some questions we are frequently asked by our certified divers:

What do I need to bring?
- Diving certification card
- Swim Suit
- A Towel
- A change of dry clothes for afterwards
- Insurance details
- A signed medical statement
*It is a legal requirement to have insurance which covers scuba diving when in Gran Canaria. Please check your travel insurance as some do cover scuba diving. If not, do not worry, we can arrange diving insurance for you in our shop upon your arrival.
*We have a specific medical questionnaire (can be seen here) which is required to be signed by a doctor when participating in a course here in Gran Canaria. Do not worry, this is not as scary as it seems. At Puerto Rico Diving your safety is of the upmost important to us, so this questionnaire helps us know if you have any medical conditions which may affect your well being whilst underwater. It is possible to have this signed at a medical centre close by to our dive centre so do not worry if you cannot get this done prior to your arrival.
